The Space Probe was taken down by Strongline Engineering in September 2005, work started on the 2nd of september and was completed by the 20th.

The Space Probe was then sent to Sunway Lagoon in Kuala Lumpur, but was never erected. It still sits un-erected in a nearby paddock.
The reason for this is the cost associated with the concrete footings required, and the cost to upgrade the ride.
